Delegation from Singapore Management University Visits China University of Political Science and Law

On the afternoon of March 18, a delegation from Singapore Management University (SMU), including Ms. Maggie Ma Huiying, Assistant Director of SMU’s International Education Centre, and Project Manager Mr. Lee Kang Le, visited China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) to explore collaborative opportunities. Vice Dean Liu Zhixiong of the School of Business hosted the delegation at the Haidian Campus, joined by Ms. Yao Longyan, Academic Affairs Director of the MBA Education Center, and Ms. Jiang Tingyao, International Affairs Coordinator. Prior to the meeting, the delegation was received by Dean Shang Wenjiang of the School of Business. 


Vice Dean Liu Zhixiong extended a warm welcome to the SMU representatives, emphasizing the potential for joint initiatives to advance talent development, particularly in cultivating professionals with expertise in international law and global business. “Collaborative programs between our institutions will play a pivotal role in preparing students for cross-border challenges,” Liu remarked. 


Ms. Ma Huiying provided an overview of SMU’s academic framework and the role of its International Education Centre in fostering global partnerships. She expressed strong interest in establishing formal cooperation with CUPL, highlighting SMU’s 2025 Global Summer School Program as a potential starting point for student exchanges. Both parties engaged in detailed discussions regarding curriculum design, implementation strategies for the summer program, and short-term MBA student mobility initiatives. 

The meeting concluded with mutual agreement to deepen institutional ties, laying the groundwork for future collaborations in legal-commercial education and faculty exchanges. This visit marks a significant step in expanding CUPL’s international academic network and enhancing its interdisciplinary programs.
