The Brief of Department of Business Administration



The Corporation Management Department of the Business School of China University of Political Science and Law was formally established in 2002, and renamed the Department of Business Administration in 2016. The Department of Business Administration has taken the lead in the construction of the "Experimental Area for Cultivation Mode Innovation of Legal and Business Talents", which is a national pilot area for talents with multiple skills. The Department of Business Administration consists of three teaching and research sub-departments: Organization and Human Resource Management, Marketing and Supply Chain Management, and Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management.

The Department of Business Administration takes the lead in the construction of business administration. In 1995, the undergraduate program of business administration started to enroll students; in 2003, the Department of Business Administration authorized a master's degree in enterprise management; in 2005, it set up the professional direction of "multinational business strategy" under the doctoral program of world economy and recruited doctoral students; in 2011, it was awarded the master's program of the first-level discipline of business administration, and in 2017 it set up the second-level discipline doctoral program of "economics of innovation" under the first-level discipline of theoretical economics. The undergraduate program of business administration was approved as one of the first-class undergraduate programs in Beijing in 2021 and one of the first-class undergraduate programs at the national level in 2022. In nearly 30 years of development, relying on the advantages of the legal discipline of China University of Political Science and Law, the Department of Business Administration serves China's market and economic construction, teaches knowledge of China's management theories and practices, and is committed to becoming a leader and practitioner in the cultivation of China's law-business complex talents.

There are 17 full-time teachers in the Department of Business Administration, including 5 professors, 6 associate professors, and 6 lecturers. In recent years, the faculties have published more than 100 high-level articles in FT50 journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Studies, Research Policy, and top domestic management journals such as Management World. Moreover, faculties have undertaken dozens of provincial and ministerial level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Foundation of China. In addition, the faculties have won several national and provincial teaching competition awards and teaching achievement awards. The Department of Business Administration also employs famous international experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs as practice tutors to offer professional courses and lectures, and they form a faculty for talent cultivation together with academic tutors.
