On April 29, the second Youth Academic Forum of the Business School was successfully held in the conference room on the first floor of the library on Xueyuan Road Campus of our school. Focusing on "New quality Productivity and high-quality development", the forum aims to cultivate young economic and management scholars, prosper academic research in economics and management, and provide a platform for academic exchange and cooperation for outstanding postgraduate students. Professor Shang Wenjiang, Dean of the Business School, Professor Li Xinyu, Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor He Xin, Xiong Jinwu, Yin Meiqun and other leaders of the school, Professor Wu Yunxian, Professor Guo Ying, Associate Professor Hong Zhiwu, Associate Professor Hua Yixin and master tutor Zhang Shuo and Liu Yue attended the forum as guests. Renmin University of China, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Huaqiao University, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Guangxi Normal University, Capital University of Economics and Business, Inner Mongolia University of Technology, Southwest University of Science and Technology and other fraternal institutions were invited to attend as off-campus guests.
With the strong support of the college, the scale of the forum reached a new high, attracting many outstanding students from inside and outside the school to actively participate. A total of 32 postgraduate students from 9 different universities reported at the forum, and nearly 100 teachers and students from inside and outside the university participated in the forum and conducted discussions.
At the opening ceremony, Secretary Li Xinyu delivered the opening speech. Secretary Li extended a warm welcome to the Masters and doctoral students who participated in the forum, and also expressed his sincere thanks to all the teachers and students who have worked hard to prepare the forum. Afterwards, Secretary Li reviewed the development history and discipline construction of the Business School of China University of Political Science and Law since its establishment. Secretary Li stressed that both teachers and students should attach importance to the importance of academic exchange and scientific research participation in graduate education, and attach importance to the application of theoretical research to practice, which is also the purpose of holding the Youth Academic Forum. Secretary Li hopes that through such activities, the research ability and academic vision of graduate students will be enhanced, and more innovative talents will be cultivated. He also wishes this forum a complete success. Professor Yin Meiqun, vice dean and doctoral supervisor of the Business School, presided over the opening ceremony.
The forum has a total of eight sub-forums, focusing on the topics of "digital economy", "Chinese-style modernization", "Enterprise management", "Enterprise digital transformation", "new quality productivity", "Enterprise ESG", "audit quality", "legal business management" and so on.
The first four sub-forums focused on the current hot areas of academic research, including enterprise digital transformation, digital economy, Chinese-style modernization, supply chain governance, ESG performance, and the impact of the two-carbon target. Seven students from China University of Political Science and Law and students from Southwest University of Science and Technology, Renmin University of China, Guangxi Normal University, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Huaqiao University, and Inner Mongolia University of Technology gave presentations, with comments by professors Guo Ying, Xiong Jinwu, Wu Yunxian and Liu Yue.
In the last four sub-forums, 13 students from China University of Political Science and Law and students from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Capital University of Economics and Business conducted in-depth discussions and reports on banking risk communication, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, environmental equity, corporate strategy, ESG performance, audit issues and other fields. It was reviewed by Professor Zhang Shuo, Associate Professor Hua Yixin, Teacher Liu Yue and Associate Professor Hong Zhiwu.
At the closing ceremony, Ms. Yin Meiqun announced the winners of the Youth Academic Forum. 22 students, including Zhou Lin, won prizes, including 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 10 excellence awards. School leaders and critics presented awards to the students and took a group photo.
Finally, President Shang Wenjiang delivered the closing speech. He stressed that the most important thing is the knowledge and experience gained from winning any award. Dean Shang Wenjiang introduced the characteristics of the Business School of China University of Political Science and Law in detail, especially in the course arrangement of governance design and the combination of law and business. In the future, the College will be committed to further developing cutting-edge disciplines and improving discipline system construction. Finally, he wished everyone good health, academic progress and a bright future.
Learning alone without friends is poor and ignorant; Study diligently and communicate, blog and wisdom. Academic exchange is a magic weapon to maintain innovation, and cooperative development is a shortcut to continuous progress. The successful holding of the Youth Academic Forum has provided a high-quality academic exchange platform for outstanding postgraduate students, and has also brought inexhaustible help to the cooperation and mutual assistance between teachers and students from different universities.
