The Jinmen Forum of Law and Financial Management is a series of lectures jointly sponsored by the Business School, Capital Finance Institute, and MBA Education Center of the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). Since October, 2015, there has been more than 70 high-quality lectures with academic and social influence launched by the forum.
The forum is a great platform to showcase’s the CUPL’s strength in law and how it can be used to enhance its finance program. The emphasis of the forum is addressed to some the eminent and pressing issues in the business practice of finance industry. It has not only served to promote the culture of talent cultivation, but also has become one of the most popular and well-received series events at CUPL. Over the time, the Forum has been followed by over 15,000 loyal audience. Meanwhile, the forum has also been widely covered by popular media platform such as Sina, Tencent, Hexun and Xinhuanet.
The Jinmen Forum has become a signature event at the Business School of CUPL. The idea of this Forum has been proposed by the council of the business school. The program was intended to address issues during the economic transformation in China. The concept of putting knowledge to practice and teaching the students to practice what they have learned. The Jinmen Forum can trace its root to this concept. Many renowned entrepreneurs and world-class scholars have been invited to be guest speakers at the Forum. They have brought with them fresh perspectives and insights on current buzz issues. The Forum has not only broadened the horizon of the students at CUPL, but also contributed to the healthy development and growth of the financial market in China.
From the first speech on The Positive Impact of PPP delivered by Mr. Jia Kang, a highly recognized expert in taxation and finance in October 2015, to the latest speech On the Stock Market Cycles and its Relevant Issues delivered by Mr. Zhang Shengfeng, the vice president of CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade), former assistant to the chairman of CSRS (China Security Regulatory Commission) in May 2019, the Jinmen Forum has come a long way and become a well-publicized signature event of the Business School and CUPL. The forum welcomes a wide range of opinions and voices while maintaining a very clear theme: contributing to the greater purpose of the re-emergency of China, and the growth of the capital market in China.
