At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Qu Chuang first introduced what "academic", "thesis" and "scientific research" were, and combined with vivid and interesting life cases to introduce the difference between "amateur" and "professional". Then, Professor Qu introduced the process of project evaluation to the audience based on his own experience, that is, "the form determines whether to start the evaluation, and the content determines whether to pass the evaluation." Then, Professor Qu introduced the three tasks of the project application: what is the significance of the research, whether it has the research ability and the feasibility of the research, and combined with specific examples to expand the connotation and extension of these three tasks from shallow to deep. Finally, Professor Qu shared his experience in the industry for many years: first, the topic selection should come from reality; Second, establish the position of the subject under the tree of discipline; Third, projects and papers are the result of scientific research rather than the purpose; Fourth, determine their own long-term, stable and sustainable research direction; Fifth, to know and understand peers, scientific research needs communication; Sixth, writing should be from the reader's point of view.
